JSpaceCanada strongly condemns the horrific terror attack on Shabbat worshippers in Neve Yaakov, Jerusalem that resulted in at least seven deaths and several more injuries. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the victims and to the entire Israeli community as they grieve this tragedy.
The targeting of innocent civilians outside a synagogue is a reprehensible and heart-wrenching experience for Israelis and Jews globally, especially on International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Violence and terrorism against civilians are never acceptable and only result in further pain and loss.
JSpaceCanada is deeply concerned about the rapidly deteriorating security situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories over the past few days. Immediate action must be taken by all responsible leaders to prevent further attacks and reduce tensions. As a strong ally of the State of Israel, we call for decisive and proactive Canadian leadership with governments in Jerusalem and Ramallah to help prevent any escalation in violence.
