As Canada awaits the final results of the federal election, JSpaceCanada extends its congratulations to all candidates across the political spectrum who demonstrated courage and dedication by putting their names forward to serve our country.
We commend Mark Carney and the Liberal Party on securing a mandate from Canadians.
As a non-partisan organization, JSpaceCanada looks forward to engaging constructively with Members of Parliament from all parties. We remain committed to ensuring that the diverse voices of the Canadian Jewish community are heard and reflected in national policymaking.
At a time when some narratives have sought to portray the Jewish community as monolithic in its political views or priorities, JSpaceCanada continues to affirm that our community is more than one voice. The Canadian Jewish community has a range of perspectives, and we believe all of those voices deserve recognition and representation on Parliament Hill.
“Since assuming the role of Executive Director nearly a year ago, I have shared the same message with every elected official I meet: I do not claim that we represent the majority of the Canadian Jewish community, but rather, that no single voice or organization can, and therefore, you must listen to them all.” said Maytal Kowalski, Executive Director of JSpaceCanada. “This message will only grow stronger as we continue to work with all elected officials open to engaging with the full diversity of our community.”
